Welcome to Fortify Financial
Fortify, verb, To fortify is defined as to make something stronger, to strengthen against attack.
Fortify - I take the name seriously.
Like most successful people, you continually strive to make smart decisions that have put you where you are today. Financial success has brought you many things including the responsibility and concerns of managing and preserving it. I help clients address their five biggest concerns: preserving their wealth, reducing taxes, taking care of their heirs, estate planning strategies and charitable giving.
There are only five uses for money: Live, Give, Owe (Taxes & Debt) and Grow. I use time tested principles in my advice to address each of these:
Live: Live within your means and do not spend more than you make.
Give: I believe we are to serve and bless others.
Owe Taxes: Taxes should be paid joyfully. They are a reflection of our blessings.
Owe Debt: Debt needs to be managed to experience true joy and happiness.
Grow: To be stewards we must save for the future.
I grew up in the small town of Stewartville, MN and started working at a young age in my family's grocery store.
I learned two of my most important life lessons from my German Grandmother regarding work ethic and giving back to the community.
My purpose is to serve and giving back is one of the best ways I know how to do that.
My wife Sonda and I
Passion. Perspective. Purpose.
“Behind every great man, is a great woman.” I have been married to Sonda since 1992. We both attended Northwest Nazarene College & we have three adult children. In my down time, I like to spend time with my family, kayaking, backpacking, camping, white water rafting, skiing, mountain climbing and watching college football.
