Eric Boyum grew up in the small town of Stewartville, MN and started working at a young age in his family's grocery store.  He learned early how to get things done.  At the age of 14 he lead the way for the city to install a BMX track, and at the age of 16, he led a campaign to start a men's tennis program at his school.  At the age of 18 he was the first student conductor of the college orchestra and band.  He was later a USSA ski team member and Olympic hopeful; while he didn't make the team, he still can be seen shredding the slopes!

Eric was given the opportunity to tour and perform with the international group Up with People where he was able to experience life with wonderful host families and volunteer his time in many countries around the world including Canada, United States, Mexico, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxemburg, and Germany. While on tour he was able to perform for heads of state, 50,000 spectators at the Olympic Stadium in Mexico City, the Super Bowl XXIV pre-game show, and many other venues.

Eventually Eric moved to Idaho to attend Northwest Nazarene University where he also established his practice as a financial advisor.

Eric understands that you have worked hard to get where you are today, and he is dedicated to helping you make informed choices with your money.  He accomplishes this by including in his practice the “DisciplinedIQ” approach to managing investments.   This is a flexible and transparent investment process designed to help maintain the balance between an investor's investment objectives and the dynamics required in managing investment portfolios.  It redefines the traditional “buy and hold” philosophy.  For a more detailed explanation, please visit  It is important to note that no strategy assures success or protects against loss.

Eric is also involved in the community as well having served for many years as a Committee Chair for the Boise River Festival, as a past member, vice president and president elect of the Caldwell Rotary Club, as a past member of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce, as a committee member and Emcee of Caldwell's Winter Wonderland, as a past member of the Parma Lions Club, as supporter and coach of the Parma High School Marching Band, as a sponsor to local youth athletic programs at the Parma School District, was the announcer for both girls and boys basketball, and the College of Idaho can be seen working the shot clock at home basketball games.

"Behind every great man, is an even greater woman." Eric has been married to his wife, Sonda, since 1992.  They have three great adult children.  In his down time, Eric likes to spend time with his family, hunting, camping, white water rafting, skiing, mountain climbing, obstacle course racing and watching college football.
